This department was started
with the inception of the  college in 1988 with initial
intake of 30 students. However, as the college and the department grew,
the intake was increased from 30 to 60. It has been further increased to
90 with effect from the session 2004-05.
The department has
fully developed laboratories needed for imparting instruction to
undergraduate students. All laboratories have been developed as per
the AICTE norms.
At present the

As the number of seats
has recently been increased from 60 to 90, more faculty members are
likely to be appointed soon.
